ANGRY PORTRAIT
LOCATION 2
WHAT DOES YOUR FACE LOOK
LIKE WHEN YOU GET MAD?
The Science
Make an angry face; how does it look compared to happy or sad? Signs of powerful emotions include clenched jaw, intense eye contact, and furrowed brows. Facial expressions can act as a warning to show how you feel.
Approach strong emotions with curiosity; learning to identify emotions can support you when strong feelings bubble to the surface.
The Calming Technique:
One Nostril Breath
Place your finger over one nostril, then breathe in deeply.
Next, switch your finger to the other nostril as you breathe out.
Once you have exhaled slowly, switch nostrils and repeat.
Practice this exercise for no more than 2 minutes"
